History

Winters Hotel Company was founded in Offenbach in 1993 by its current managing director Gerhard Winter as a private enterprise.  Initially the business consisted only of Winters Hotel Offenbacher Hof.  It was a small company but it was run with a personal touch.
In 1994 the Hotel Bismarckhof/Offenbach was added.  In 1996 the company expanded and added Hotel Mainpark in Mühlheim to its list of hotels.  Also in 1996 the two hotels Winters Hotel Button in Dietzenbach and Winters Eurotel Boardinghouse in Offenbach am Main were integrated into the company.  The small enterprise which had originally only been operating in the 3-star hotel segment in the Rhine-Main metropolitan area quickly became a business expanding nation-wide. In 1997 the enterprise Winters Hotelgesellschaft was founded to serve as central administration and sales company.

In 2003 the company expanded even more and started to establish itself in Berlin.  The first hotel to open in Berlin was Winters Hotel Berlin City   Messe. In 2006 Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte   Am Checkpoint Charlie was added.  In 2009 the company grew some more and Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte · Am Gendarmenmarkt became the third Winters Hotel in Berlin.  Since August 2010 Winters has also been represented in Bavaria with its Winters Hotel München · Am Hauptbahnhof.  Since October 2010 Winters has been operating 4 hotels in Berlin, when Winters Hotel Berlin · Im Spiegelturm was added to the company portfolio. And in early 2013 another Winters Hotel is due to open:  the newly built Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte · The Wall at Checkpoint Charlie.

Thus the Winters Hotelgesellschaft features the following hotels: Winters Hotel Offenbacher Hof / Winters Eurotel Boardinghouse / Winters Hotel München · Am Hauptbahnhof / Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte · Am Checkpoint Charlie / Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte · Am Gendarmenmarkt / Winters Hotel Berlin · Im Spiegelturm / Winters Hotel Berlin Mitte · The Wall at Checkpoint Charlie.
